Side-by-side comparison on stats of D&D editions

This is a brilliant side-by-side comparison between different D&D editions. It highlights some of the issues that has been bothering me. Like wizards being too awesome in 3E, CHECK. Like 4E being more balanced, CHECK.

Ari on 5E Cosmo

Ari Marmell on cosmology in the next edition. Interesting blog!

"So, what do I want to see, cosmology-wise, in the next edition? I want to see the core rules present the Great Wheel and the 4E cosmology. I want it to present them both as equally valid options (with emphasis on the fact that any other setup is also equally valid). If the goal of the next edition, as has been stated, is to be a toolbox, then that needs to include aspects of the example/default/implied setting. Don’t say “This is what the cosmology is.” Say “Here’s a couple of examples of what it could be.”

A completely free Sci-Fi RPG : Cascade Failure RPG (d20/OGL)

Cascade Failure RPG, written by Greg Christopher is a new addition to the sci-fi RPG genre. Set after a galaxy-wide Great War, and the following Collapse, the players could thread upon this post-apocalypse universe and work toward their ambitions. It is a well made RPG, and it’s completely free !
